EDM Weekly Challenge #236
I couldn't sleep last night so I thought I would do something productive. Here is EDM Weekly Challenge #236 Draw your left palm (non-dominant hand)

Love your sketch. Sketching, drawing etc. is really good during sleepless nights. I experienced that when a friend of mine passed away in a car accident. Concerning you question in the group about thanking for comments. I usually go to the persons blog and leave a note there. Sometimes I also send a personal mail, but rarely I answer to the list. If it is a "nice sketch"-comment, I just do nothing... I added your blog to Google Reader and will follow it there.

Ah, insomnia! I'm an old pro at it. Sketching is a wonderful way to pass the time, if you've given up on sleep. The drawing of your hand is quite nice. I find hands can be quite a challenge. Well done! nancy
Nice work, Trish! I think a lot of us can sympathize with your insomnia. Mine comes and goes, but I never try drawing to fill the time. Sounds like a good idea. Love your sketch! Hands tell so much about us. Mine used to be my mother's hands, now they're just mine, old and full of wrinkles!
Great Sketch Trish. This was a challenging sketch and I like the way you have drawn it, adding the lines that make it your own.
Some of my best (and worst) drawings have been done in the smallest hours of the morning.
Also, it is hard to keep track of çonversations on the blogs and flickr sites. If I have left a more indepth (?) comment or really like the drawing I go back and look at other comments people have made. There are so many wonderful drawings out there to comment on.
good sketch, I like the text too and details like the rings. I am never sure of the right way of leaving comments and thank you notes, but is there a right way? What is fun anyway is that some time it is like conversations in different places on long period of times
Sketching in the wee hours of the night has definite advantages . . . no interrupting phone calls, nothing interesting on TV, etc. Drawing is a very relaxing thing to do. I find it easier to hear from God, also. You did a wonderful job on this! And I like the rings.
Worthy sketch! It's nice that you are wearing Merle's ring. I enjoyed that you called drawing your hand "productive" - I agree - but I suspect that there are many in this busy world who would feel otherwise.. But they are wrong, aren't they?
Trish; Thanks for commenting on my blog. I am so glad you enjoyed it. I try to be creative mostly every day... it's not easy! I love your drawings. You are very talented.
This is really excellent, Trish! It has your own "spin" on it! Wonderful "wee hour" productivity! I often sketch in bed to relax before attempting to drift off.
I love the sketch -- actually I loved the rings around your fingers and the fact that you can see your engagement ring. Very inspirational. Thanks for posting this site on FB. Love ya ;)
Funny...I also tried this challenge late one night when I didn't feel like sleeping. My rendering looked like a baseball mitt run over by a car! After seeing how hard it is to draw hands, I'm even more impressed with your work.
I love this sketch, I think the rings are wonderful and precious! I never thought of drawing when I'm having trouble with insomnia, what a great solution. PS, Thank you for the lovely email! I am never sure what the correct 'netiquette' is for replying to comments, so I'm just dropping by your blog and happily enjoying your lovely work!!

Love the hand. Wonderful job in the middle of the night.
I can't sleep tonight, so I thought I'd catch up on blog visits. I wish I would be so "inspired" as to sketch an edm as you did... :(

this is incredibly beautiful and I love all of the little interesting notes you put in there

Very expressive drawing. Hands drawn well are always so powerful an image, yet so many people avoid drawing them! (I guess because it isn't easy).
Hey nicely drawn fingers..Im extremely bad at drawing them.
